Carol Barton's life is turned upside down when an undocumented drunk driver takes her husband and youngest son from her. Grief, loneliness, and worry are all she can handle while raising her troubled teenage son. In a twist of fate, an orphaned Hispanic boy appears in her life. Her maternal instincts kick in demanding she overcome prejudice and fear to open her home and heart to the orphaned child. What she doesn't count on is the handsome Border Patrol Agent who shows up to investigate why Carol is harboring an alleged illegal immigrant.
