They always ask me "What made you come to Islam?" So, I wrote my answer in a book. It has been just over a year since I came to Islam, but it has taken me a lifetime to get here. From the mazes of the council estates in Stockwell to the mosques of East London, I have lived through many sleepless nights. My journey has been long and solitary, an only child without a father to follow from the wilderness. I was a lost soul, who experienced the highs of this world only to fall from them and lose everything I had. My heart had to be broken over and over before I would be able to appreciate the best love of all. The skies are brighter now that I am Muslim but, there is still one thing standing in the way of my happiness.
