Publisher's Synopsis
Like dedicated birders everywhere, Stephen Moss starts his annual birding first thing on New Year's Day. But 2007 was different. Just a few months earlier, he and his family had moved out of London to a new home on the Somerset Levels. So he went on to keep a diary, throughout the year. Here then are Snow Buntings, Hobbies hawking for dragonflies in spring, a remarkable near-miss of a Yellow-nosed Albatross in summer and Somerset skies filled with millions of Starlings performing their acrobatics.
