Nathan Halladay is a staunch Republican and proud of it. Even though he is a gay man in a party that is proudly anti-gay, he believes that the policies on the right are what's best for a broken country. What is more, seeing as he is running for the position of Senator in West Virginia, he truly believes that once elected, he will have a chance to bring the party into the 21st Century. The campaign gets off to a rocky start for Nathan Halladay. Not only are his positions wildly unpopular among the people, but as a gay man he is forced to hide his sexuality from the voter. The stress is real, and it pushes Nathan to breaking point... that is until a drunken night sees him trapped alone in an elevator with Charles. The two men hit it off and before long they retreat to Nathan's room for a night of fun the only way they know how. Charles is disgusted in himself for what he did. Sleeping with the enemy! As a means to justify his actions - and to allow himself to sleep with Nathan again with a guilt free conscience - he attempts to convince Nathan of his bad polices and bring him over to the left. But with Nathan being a Republican and Charles a Democrat, it feels like a fantasy more than a reality. And soon the two men will be forced to ask themselves, what do they care for more?
