A Quill in the Ink is a collection of poetry that explores the most devastating and exhilarating moments of life while exposing the dark secrets of the human heart. It shows readers that one can confront the monster (under their beds or inside themselves), bring it to the light, and become friends with it. This collection, through poetry and prose, openly discusses the stories that we've hidden, from others and from ourselves, and shows that the darkest parts of us can be redeemed in the end. A Quill in the Ink is divided into three sections (A Dance in the Dark, A White Rose in Red Wine, and A Sandglass in the Hands of Time) that tell the story of a young woman who lost herself in darkness, heartbreak, and desolation to then find herself in light, possibility, and love.
