Publisher's Synopsis
Te Aroha was a well known spa centre. People travelled great distances to take the waters for their famed healing properties. The Domain reached a peak in popularity during Edwardian times followed by a period of declining interest. A recent programme of restoration of its buildings and the addition of new features has revived this important Victorian-Edwardian spa site. A Postcard from Te Aroha is an account of the fluctuating fortunes of the Domain and a record of an important part of New Zealand's cultural history.
