Publisher's Synopsis
Blackbird Merry's mummy isn't very good at looking after her, and one day Merry falls out of the badly made nest. She is rescued by Jo, a little foster-bird robin, who cares for her and makes her feel safe again. Merry settles into Jo's nest and starts to grow, but can Jo's little nest hold such a big bird? Maybe it's time to look for a new nest for Merry, but how can she leave the place where she feels safe? A touching story for children aged around 5 - 11 to help them transition from foster care to their forever home through adoption. This book recognises the importance of the attachment between foster carers and looked-after children as well as offering them a beautiful metaphor to help them feel positive about the future.
