Publisher's Synopsis

Hari Chand Aneja lost his parents, lands, home, office in the holocaust of India's partition in 1947. The author came as a penniless refugee, sleeping on a street with bricks as pillows, in Amritsar in the bitter cold. That was his first night in free India. The book describes the hurdles and struggles that he had to surmount after that. He was a warrior at heart and overcame various personal, professional and financial vicissitudes, by having faith in himself and his belief in integrity of purpose and endeavour. Hence, the title of the Book, "A Matter of Faith." Hari Chand Aneja resolved to put the past pains behind him and started life afresh without any money, clothes or even a home. He sold off his wife Prakash's gold bangles to begin life afresh. He struggled to build a family and earn a living. This book describes the saga of his determinations and his strong faith in overcoming multifarious difficulties. He rose to become the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors in India. He also served on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Internal Auditors for 24 years. He received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA. He retired as the Vice President (Audit) of Bajaj Electricals Ltd., where he served for over four decades. He was active in doing social work and managed a Charity in the name of his wife, to encourage education of girls and a healthy life for the old. He was also the Chairman of Aneja Management Consultants and attended office daily, till he passed away on the 28 August 2017. Hopefully, this Book will inspire others to change their destinies through passion, honesty and discipline.
