Publisher's Synopsis
Before leaving to go to a birthday party, Ollie and his sister Muffy promise their mother that they would not get dirty along the way. But from mud to ashes, Ollie manages to get himself so dirty that no one at the party recognized him. Thinking that he was a monster the children chase him away. Sad and confused, Ollie has two problems to solve: What to tell his mother and how to get back to the party.
