It discusses outright gifts at death, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts. The purpose of the book is to stimulate their interest in exploring some of these ideas with their favorite charity or the charity that gave them the book.
The Guide for Charities version contains the entire book that is given to potential donors or existing donors. In addition, it contains valuable information on marketing. It gives ideas on where to find potential donors for charitable planned giving, how to approach them and what to say. It also contains a sample 3-5 talk for you if you are given the opportunity to make a short presentation. Included are some resources for learning about planned giving ideas as well as how to develop a planned giving proposal.
This book and the tools provide in the book will help to get charitable planned gifts without having to add more staff. It has worked well for charities that I have worked with and it can work well for you.
