Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from A Letter to the Right Honourable William Pitt, on the Influence of the Stoppage of Issues in Specie at the Bank of England: On the Prices of Provisions, and Other Commodities

There may be objections to the communication of any specy'ic account of the specie on hand but there can be none to such a return as, without specify ing a'ny sums, may ascertain the preportion which the specie existing in'the bankon the 6th December, 1800; bears to that which existed on the 96th February, 1797.
