Excerpt from A History of the M'farren Family
No reason is known for Wm. Mcfarren's removal to that locality, but it is probable that some of his own, or his wife's relatives were residing there at the time. How long he continued to reside there is not known, but it was not very long, as his third child was born there November 26th, 1757, and his fourth in North-v ampton county, September 8th, 1760, which shows that he had returned to Northampton before the date last named.
