Publisher's Synopsis

Mike Marr was born and raised on a dusty country road called Oakridge. The road is almost two miles long and sitting directly half way from the ends is the site of the Old Oakridge School House (Cover Picture), the house he called home up until his teenage years when, like everything else, it was torn down in the name of progress. These stories tell the tale of his youth and the history of that old road, as he remembers it, anyway. Most of them are true, or at the very least have truth in them. Like his previous work, "Hero of Bullfrog Hill" this book should be kept in the bathroom since the stories are short and much more interesting than the label of the Lysol spray can.
