A guide which is the result of a research scheme set up by the Institute of Chartered Accountants' Scotland Computing Centre, for reviewing and evaluating popular accounting software packages. The guide discusses some of the major issues involved with, and an evaluation of the features to be expected in good accounting software. The 16 most commonly used packages are investigated, and checklists and test data are included so that readers may be able to make their own evaluations.
