Ben Mitchell grew up in a small town. He did all the things a young boy did living in the country except for one thing. He was madly in love with a strange young girl named Melody Edmonds. She was very beautiful but some of the other kids didn't want anything to do with her because she was Indian. You wouldn't know it though looking at her. Her skin was fair and she didn't have the facial features of an Indian. Ben never noticed she was any different from any of the other kids except she seemed stronger than most of the girls her age. When he looked at her he saw the brightest blue eyes that seemed to put him in a trance.They were adults when he finally found out what made Melody so different.
