When her younger sister Stella disappears, it's up to Jo to find her and bring her home. It soon becomes clear that Stella has gone to Germany to stay with Jo's childhood pen-pal Max, with whom she has secretly been corresponding. As the sisters enjoy Max's hospitality in his splendid castle, Jo discovers that the grown-up man is very different to the boy she once knew - and very attractive, too. But staying in Germany is not an option, especially when her ill mother needs her back home...
