From the moment Detective Jim Ballard enters the room, his years on the homicide detail began to send out signs; this was not a normal homicide case. Bending down to look at the body, covered by the papers scattered about the room, he picks up a handful of papers. Leafing through them, he is quick to notice; they are all typed manuscript pages. There were thousands of pages taken out of their folders and scattered about as if in a fit of rage... or to torment someone by destroying a lifetime of work.
