Publisher's Synopsis
A foundation of Mac programming is the code resource - whole chunks of code that are used in any common Macintosh application and can be re-used with little or no modification. The advent of the Power PC has created the need to convert existing code, now called fragments, for the new processor. This work sets out to fulfil that need. Rather than simply gathering and indexing chunks of this code, the author provides thorough explanations to teach intermediate and advanced Mac programmers more about how the whole Macintosh system functions. Programming for both 680X0 and PowerPC environments are covered and compared.;Large amounts of mature, robust code, plus MetroWerks Code Warrior Lite, are provided on the accompanying CD-ROM.
