Publisher's Synopsis

A First Grader Can Write Poems

By: Elsie Okoro

A First Grader Can Write Poems is a poetry anthology written by author Elsie Okoro when she was just seven years old. The poems are a unique look into the mind of a young girl first learning about the world around her, and a testament to the lasting influence that an exposure to art can have on school-aged children. The creation of this anthology sparked a fervent appreciation for poetry and creative writing in Okoro and inspired her to dream of becoming a professional poet.
