The Object of this volume is to furnish in a convenient and clear form, a review of the cases affecting Shipping which have been decided by the Court of Session during the last quarter of a century. It has long been felt that the various treatises upon Shipping Law published in England are less useful than they might be, owing to the rarity with which Scottish cases are cited. In the follow ing pages an attempt has been made to bring together the numerous judgments of the Scottish Bench, with notes as to relevant English cases.
