This painting represents a view in Italy, with high moun tains seen in the distance. On the right is an archway, under which a river is ?owing. A woman clad in blue and red is approaching on an ass; near her a little dog. A man is driving three cows and some Sheep and goats into the shallow water that extends in the front. The sun has descended below the hills, the summits of which are still enveloped in a glowing hue. A beautiful scene.
