Tocho sailed over a down tree and repeated the jump a few steps farther, clearing another block in the path. The lake was a good two or more miles away and Caley had never tried to make it in the few precious minutes left, but she sure had to try now. War had erupted on American soil and they had little time to get everyone to safety. Down another hill, haunches nearly on the ground, they descended to the last leg of the run. She started calling out for her son. She had to find him and get back to safety.
