The collection listed in the following pages consists of works on American ethnology, mammalogy and ornithology, and to a lesser extent on herpetology and botany. Various other subjects are represented humor, the circus, Arctic voyages, travel - with a few early editions of favorite books and authors. Among these is the series of [esop's Fables, which show the progress made in depicting the more common animals from the period shortly after the invention of printing to the present time.
The illustrations are from photographs taken in the library, but no attempt has been made to reduce them to a scale.
