Publisher's Synopsis

The uplifting chronicle of a California Hispanic, follows Tommy Sesti Savala. As a young boy, at the age of 10, he supported not only his mother and 3 sibling but 4 other family members during the global Great Depression of 1929. The story then follows him through his military service, where he served during World War 2 and saw the atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan. He had a fair share of accomplishments and setbacks and always found a way of recovering from the bad hands he was dealt. At age 53, he was a self-made millionaire, only to be forced into filing bankruptcy just before retiring. Then at the age 86 he acquired a bull ranch in Southern Mexico. He is proud to say he has never had an idle day in his life. Tommy's parents were an incredible example of hard work and determination. His resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit set the tone for his entire life.
