Publisher's Synopsis

Jack, a little boy, lives with his mother and father who have a conflict over color. Mother likes white or as she sees it, the absence of color. Father loves bold color and loves to paint. He is a house painter, by trade, and continues to paint with leftover house paint at home in his basement. The boy loves the atmosphere of fun and freedom with his dad and joins in, along with his dog, to paint bold abstract paintings.
But what is art? Is his father an artist? Will his paintings be accepted and allowed on the walls of their house?
Will the confl ict be resolved? If so, how?
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sylvia Reinhardt paints in oils, acrylics, encaustic, watercolor or anything that leaves color behind the brush, pen or stick. She loves painting portraits, landscapes, still life, fl oral and abstract on canvas, wood, furniture, music instrument carriers, walls, doors, or sidewalks.
This is her first attempt at a picture book. Cartooning is a new and fun activity and she hopes to follow up on another idea soon.
