Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from A Brief Declaration of the Lord's Supper
The plan of the present work needs little ex planation. The motive and centre of the book is the Treatise on the Eucharist written by Bishop Ridley, in prison at Oxford, probably some time in 1554. Besides the matter more immediately connected with this Treatise, the Biographical Sketch which fills the first pages of the volume will be found to refer to it, so far as the Sketch brings out the history of Ridley's convictions on eucharistic doctrine and illustrates their bearing upon his labours and his sufferings.
