Publisher's Synopsis
There are moments in every life that remain in the memory for years; even the rest of a life time. Some are small things; watching snow from a window as it falls during the evening or the peace experienced when walking on a hillside during a sunny afternoon. Other moments are bitterly sad, such as reflections on the life of a mother who died too young or news of a terrible fire on the London Underground. They remain with us to form us and inform us.
A Book of Moments contains poems composed after such experiences imprinted themselves on the memory. Others focus on looking at experience with a longer term view; how growth takes place through both sad and happier times. Their locations stretch from a childhood in Yorkshire, through later years in a new country and, eventually, retirement on a small Island in the Coral Sea.
