A Blues Man's Blues: Poems On Love, Sex and Revolution is a collection of poetry by Rev. Dr. Majadi Baruti, Priest, Poet, Griot, and Goddess Devotee. Dr. Baruti has been asked over the years to compile his work into a book. His poetry illuminates his understanding of love, his devotion to the Divine Feminine, the sacredness of sexuality and his revolutionary consciousness. This collection is on three subjects he covers in much of his poetry. The title of the work, A Blues Man's Blues: Poems On Love, Sex and Revolution, gives reverence to Dr. Baruti's Great Grandfather, the late Blues Guitarist and Singer, Johnny Shines. Johnny Shines is known for his guitar playing, the amazing poetic language of his songs and his astounding singing voice. Poignant and provocative some may be seen as controversial even but they are from Dr. Baruti's heart as he has been called by some close to his heart, a Blues Man.
