Publisher's Synopsis

This play is a tragedy. In it, a nobleman (Mertoun) asks for the hand of another nobleman's (Thresham) sister. Subsequently, Thresham finds out that someone has been sneaking into his sister's bedroom window and spending significant amounts of time in his sister's bedroom at night. He further finds out that the sister has been assisting this intruder. Thresham catches the intruder outside the window, discovers it's Mertoun and then Thresham kills Mertoun. Before Mertoun dies he makes Thresham see why he was visiting his sister (I don't want to give it all away). Thresham regrets killing him and then kills himself.
