What is the Primary Focus to More of You and Less of Me? The Journey with God begins with His love towards us, but continues with our faith towards Him that after salvation becomes love for Him. Many people come to God by accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior and never realize that if it were not for the Holy Ghost wooing them and leading them to have FAITH; they would have never gotten saved. God wants to restore all that He gave you and put in you the day of salvation. He is waiting for you to be open to the gifts He has given you. Your purpose is therein. The purpose of the gifts of the Spirit is to glorify God. He wants to give us the gifts of the Spirit to allow us to bear the Fruit of the Spirit. But there is so much more than that. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much. My Pastor recently brought so much clarity and inflow of the Love of God and the Kingdom of God when he said, "Just as a mother carries a child for 9 months, cares for herself for the sake of the child and goes through the pains and aches of pregnancy. Then the day of birth comes and the parents hear that cry for the first time. What is the first thing that they want to do? They hear their child's cry and want to touch their child with love. That touch is not to give gifts or teach lessons; it is not to give purpose or power. That touch is simply to show their love and form that bond of love." Every parent wants their child to have a sense of purpose, goals, talents, gifts, and success in life, because they love them so much. God loved and created us, because He loves us. He created everything else to give us purpose in His Kingdom, the earth, the plants, trees, animals, as well as, the gifts and fruits of the Spirit for you, to bless you and to give you purpose in His Kingdom. Living this life is not about following a series of religious rules to make you a better person; but is about joyfully pursuing Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is why you need the Holy Ghost in your life. I challenge you to believe God saved you for a purpose. He is just waiting for you to accept, ask for and be open the gifts that He gave you at Salvation. This Journey is to help you stop looking to yourself and at yourself, to stop thinking about who or what you are and to stop dwelling on who and what you are not. To instead, focus on God and who He is, to bring wholeness to yourself and your life. My prayer is that the More of Him you allow in and the More of Him you have faith in, the less you will rely on your own way and your own understanding. I pray that you are brought to a place within yourself (and within Him) that you have never imagined possible. With salvation you were given many gifts. One of them was a portion (or seed) of faith. Isn't it time you planted it? Together we will learn how to plant the portion of faith that God gave you and SOW IT to REAP His Blessings and promises for your life. Find out about the blessings that Jesus died to give you and watch the promises He made you come to pass. The key is FAITH. It starts at salvation and continues with the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. I encourage you to open His Word and leave it open throughout the whole month.
