Publisher's Synopsis

Suddenly, just before the road came to an end, there was a police car parked in the bushes. It was a black and white car just sitting there for some reason.
As we drove past it, the van turned back towards the city. We knew we were close when we started seeing tall buildings. Finally, we returned to the town, but nobody spoke in the van. I knew something wasn't right. Once we arrived, one of the men opened the door, slammed it shut, and drove off. We never heard from them again. I couldn't help but think we were lucky to have seen that police car. It was the reason those guys turned back. It felt like a higher power was looking out for us.
