Seventeen-year-old Ross Collins has three main cares in life: sport, girls and scraping by on just enough revision for his exams. But then, just one day after passing his driving test, he causes an accident in which another driver is killed. The police arrest him for causing death by careless driving. Devastated, distraught and overcome with remorse, he sets off on a desperate search for redemption in religion. He joins the Alpha Course, but there he meets Omega Bee, a theology student whose faith is crumbling. She sabotages his quest by teaching him the truth about the human origins of Christianity and the Bible. But who needs truth when you have killed somebody? With his trial looming, we follow Ross on his turbulent journey as he tries to put his shattered life back together.
