Publisher's Synopsis
Christmas Flame, Book 4 in the Gulf Coast Firefighters series, can be read as a stand-alone novel.
A firefighter left at the altar crosses paths with a famous celebrity during a weather-delayed flight to Hawaii. Will the magic of Christmas bring them together?
When paramedic Reid Reitner is left at the altar, his friends convince him to go on his honeymoon alone. He's not looking forward to a solo vacation on a Hawaiian beach, but he also doesn't want to spend Christmas under the sympathetic scrutiny of his family. So when he's bumped to first-class, his luck seems to have taken a turn for the better. That is, until he's seated beside a pretentious woman full of complaints, who happens to be the famous actress Maisy Annapolis. When a blizzard grounds their flight, and there are no available hotels, they decide to weather the delay together.
But even the spirit of Christmas may not be enough to bridge the gap between them.
Maisy Annapolis is headed to Maui to film a movie with on-again/off-again boyfriend, Bobby Bidwell. But frankly, she's dreading the role. Especially after she learned Bobby cheated on her with a Sports Illustrated model. So when Maisy finds herself in a weather delay in her hometown of Milwaukee and deplanes with the handsome stranger beside her, she's in even less of a rush to get on set. Despite a rift between Maisy and her family, she winds up spending the holiday with them and taking Reid along for the ride. The more she learns about Reid, the more attractive he becomes. But he's just been left at the altar, and their worlds seem so different.
Will this be too much of an obstacle to bringing them together? Or will the Christmas holiday create romance and magic for this unusual pairing?
