Publisher's Synopsis
The biggest difference between high society and monster hunting is the dress code.
As a half blood, Addy finds the world around her to be frequently full of prideful jerks that go out of their way to make sure she knows she's not like them. Having a full blood father, and a pushy half blood mother, means Addy is frequently expected to attend events, despite the sneers she often receives. After all, there are all these eligible bachelors. One must be in want of a wife. With college around the corner, she hopes this new path will let her grow or at least see a little less bigotry. Day one proves otherwise. A few snide remarks from someone important has Addy determined not to let some pure blood know-it-all ruin her new school experience. Looking to find a way to make friends, Addy decides to join sorority life. The sisterhood of monster slayers gives her a chance to see the world a little differently. Sure, there are plenty of creatures to slay in the wilds, and claws to avoid at galas, but there is more to those around her than meets the eye. There may be more blooming than pride, but will Addy survive the prejudice around her to see it?
