Publisher's Synopsis
Have you ever done the wrong thing for the right reason? Or, do the ends really justify the means? These two questions will be addressed after a thorough reading of "Stunt Pullers."
Darin Shepard, also known as Dawg, is the offspring of Detective Debra Small and Duck, who was one of Detroit's most notorious money-getters until his untimely demise. How ironic is that for Dawg's lineage? Ever since Dawg heard that his father had more than a million dollars while in high school, he knew that he had a mission to accomplish and knew just what had to be done. Being an officer of the law was out of the question for him and selling drugs in Dawg's mind would take too long. What he really wanted to do wasn't commonly associated with guys from the 'hood so he put it on the back burner. Tim Tales, better known as Tee, is Dawg's best friend who Debra took in as her own when he was a youngster. Tee's rationale about life is anything concerning women and money. His whole ideology is to be known for doing whatever for the cheddar as long as it didn't have anything to do with working a 9 to 5. When it comes to any type of crime, he's with it. Together, Dawg and Tee do what it takes for them not only to not keep up with the Jones', but to be the Jones' themselves. After a chance meeting with one of Duck's old running mates in Portland, Maine, Dawg would make sure that he and Tee's life would never be the same. Once the money starts rolling in a tragedy occurs and Dawg would be forced to decide whether to secretly continue chasing his father's legacy or create his own with what he wanted to do in life. "Stunt Pullers" has characters and situations that depict everyday reality in urban neighborhoods across the United States and abroad.
