The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a is a selection of 8 musical pieces, composed by the Russian Composer, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky of which he adapted from the famous 2 act Ballet the "Nutcracker"
Written for full Symphony Orchestra, it premiered in 1892 in St. Petersburg, Russia, and was performed by the "Russian Musical Society" with Tchaikovsky as conductor
