Publisher's Synopsis
Kaiden and Dell, along with their allies from Azmark, continue their search for Von. Von's trail leads them to the port city of Ation, a city of both wealth and danger. While the search continues, a treasonous army attacks the city.
The men from Azmark find themselves trapped behind the besieged walls. Kaiden and Dell, with the help of the former traitor Oslo, must defend the city against not only the Halfen but also a strange and powerful witch. The witch has not forgotten Dell, and she continues to seek the mythic artifacts Dell discovered deep within the ancient barrow of Elgon. The loss of the city of Ation, coupled with its riches, will affect the outcome of the civil war as well as the struggle against the Horde. Despite overwhelming odds, Kaiden and Dell must prevent Ation from falling into enemy hands.
