Publisher's Synopsis
Perciville Socrates Hammond, born and raised in the city of Boston by his overprotective mother and an elderly aunt who viewed the entire world as evil, was clueless when it came to the 'outside world'. Tall, gangly, and with a face only a mother could love, he was content to live in solitude, only leaving home for work or church. Then, out of the blue, he receives a shocking bit of information when he is contacted by an attorney about the death of his maternal grandfather-a man he had never known. He was to inherit his grandfather's Bar-Slash-B ranch, and all the man's worldly possessions.Having never been out of Boston in his life, the young man was forced to face his fears and travel west to Texas. His intentions were to sell the ranch and head back home to Boston. Little did he know, that was far from his grandfather's last wishes, and getting 'home' would not be exactly where Perciville expected.
