Publisher's Synopsis
In the future, the Earth has become a dumping ground and a few privileged people live in the floating Metro City. Professor Tenma has developed a military robot for the president of Metro City, but during a test, his son Toby is killed. Tenma builds a mechanical lookalike of his child, which gives him memory and superpowers. However, Tenma fails to love this surrogate son and Astro, who has discovered that he is a robot, flees to the world below.
