Jasmine Jones is a mixed African American, predominantly of Spanish and African descent. She has six siblings, all from different fathers. Her mother depended on drugs and was never around.Jasmine was molested at a young age. Her Nana, who was a "functional drunk" took her in and raised her as her own.Jasmine's life was on a fast track. Her living condition almost made her nomadic, jumping from place to place. Things were difficult while she lived in Maryland. Despite the hardship she experienced, Jasmine would not have had it any other way. The experiences gave her an insight into the different sides of life. The nights she got thrown out of the house, the different schools she attended as she lived her nomadic life, surviving on food stamps with her mother and selling the excess for cash to buy drugs. It was rough, but it made Jasmine into who she is today. She learned how to stay strong and excel in survival mode.
