Publisher's Synopsis
Here we have 38 affordable, conservative retirement towns from across the U.S., places housing prices are below the national median or equal to the national median and where the majority of residents hold traditional, politically conservative views.
Some of these places lean to the right, while others are deep red. A few are in liberal states, but most are in conservative areas of the country. All are safe, and each town is in a state that is friendly or leaning that way when it comes to retirement taxes. Some towns have a youthful population while others have a median age close to or above the national median. And while the common thread among all these places is their affordability and conservative values, we also look at each town's population, climate, crime rate, internet providers, amenities, nearest domestic airport, education levels, median household income, whether a hospital is nearby and more, including each place's drawbacks.
