No longer all rabbit breeds made it into this global obviously. A few were created with the assist of cautious breeders who wanted to ensure that their customers were given the first-class bunnies that money could purchase. The Holland Lop was given its start inside the Fifties in Netherlands. A Dutch breeder Adriann de Cock desired to mix the features of a French Lop and a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit. Those are two very specific breeds, so it was an exciting mix to say the least. Lamentably, the ensuing clutter of six was unsuccessful. This become due to the fact their ears have been erect and did no longer have the loping impact of the Holland Lop we recognize and love today. In 1952, de Cock took a doe from that clutter of six and bred her with an English Lop buck. After a few hit and misses of breeding from these litters, de Cock efficiently bred a Holland Lop with the French Lop's characteristic floppy ears. The relaxation, as they say, is records.
