Publisher's Synopsis
Connie Miller is happily married to Sam, the man of her dreams, never mind the hairline cracks of doubt that were actually there from the beginning. Denial is a skill she has honed to perfection. Her husband disappears without warning and those cracks widen. When she finally discovers his whereabouts, the husband she finds is now Samuel, an Amish carpenter, who has solidly reclaimed his roots. If Connie expects to remain married to him, she must reinvent herself as an Amish housewife, never mind that the community brands her as an outsider, an Englisher. If she is to remain married to Sam, she must find a way to bridge that gap, while at the same time maintaining her own integrity, and honoring the vows she made before God.
