Publisher's Synopsis
He sighed as his thoughts drifted to the beautiful Amish girl he had met at the lake while at Uncle Sam's place. He had gone there for some peace and quiet and to think things over when he saw her seated with her eyes closed on the only bench facing the lake. He knew just then that she was meditating. He gently strolled over to get a better look of her and sitting at the other edge of the bench he had studied her features closely. She oozed serenity and her face was void of emotions. "I don't like being stared at." She had said as her cheeks flushed bright red. "Forgive me for making you uncomfortable." He had said as he moved his gaze to the lake. "My name is..." He began to say when she interrupted. "I know who you are Joshua Byler." she said opening her eyes and smiling at him. It was the brightest smile he had ever seen. "I am Rachel...Rachel King." Thus began a romance that Amish families would talk about for generations.
