JESUS IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD WHO GIVES HIS LIFE FOR THE SHEEP. Jesus said: "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture" (John 10:9). "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10b). "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep" (John 10:11). "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father" (John 10:17-18). "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me" (John 10:27). "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone pluck them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one" (John 10:28-30).
