Rafi Razzak was initially a trusted sponsor of Basingstoke FC, so when the club had financial problems in 2001, they turned to him for advice. He set up a limited company, offered shares and quickly became the major shareholder, giving him control of the club. The venture soon failed.
In 2006, he set up a development company called Basron. His goal was to sell the Camrose Ground. Over the years he has tried twice, unsuccessfully, to get planning permission from the local council. And everyone's had enough. This is the story of what has happened so far, warts-and-all.
Follow the frustrations of the supporters and protestors (KFIB - Keep Football in Basingstoke) as they deal with propaganda, red tape, secrets and ulterior motives. Discover who has helped them get to where they are today and who has done their utmost to hamper their progress. And wait for the looming key council meeting in September 2020 to find out the next instalment.
