Publisher's Synopsis
The book series "Conversations with My Future Self" is written to challenge you to do what you never thought possible. The intent is to provoke you to purposely leave your emotionally secure thinking patterns and daily activities to welcome opportunities to do what others never thought possible. You can turn the world upside down by turning your world right-side up. You can do more than what you have done. You can do more than others' doubt you can do when you identify, value, own, share, and celebrate your prize inside. Other books have been written about going back and having a conversation with yourself at age 18. Unfortunately, we cannot rewind time, but we can look ahead. Imagine a conversation with your future self, someone who knows you best, has made your mistakes, and enjoyed your victories. Imagine that older, wiser person sharing what you need to know now and in the future. Imagine how much more you could do. Book Two focuses on steps 2-5. Identifying your prize inside (Book One) is critical but so is each of the next four steps. * Valuing, * Owning, * Sharing, and * Celebrating the prize inside. Ultimately we want others to celebrate our prize inside because it brings them value. In order to do that, we must see the value to the extent that we own it. We cannot rent it, borrowing another's prize inside. Some will try to steal it, but that won't work either. Until we sacrifice everything we have to own it, we won't be able to share it with the right people who will gladly celebrate it. It is then that we can celebrate our prize inside. Imagine how much more productive you will be when you live in a world of celebration. Imagine what we could do in our communities when we celebrate other's prize inside. Now imagine how much more productive our work teams will be when we engage in meaningful work that plays to our passions. Imagine the increased performance, productivity, and profits that come from celebrating each team member's prize inside. Personally and professionally, it is time to start the conversation with your future self. It's time to celebrate others. It's time to celebrate your unique value.
