Publisher's Synopsis
The Mississippi map turtle is an aquatic turtle that spends the bulk of its time swimming and the relaxation of the time ingesting and basking on a dry rock in the sun. The care of map turtles is much extra like a fish than a lizard in that they want a tank almost completely packed with water similarly to the reptile lighting set up.Full-grown map turtles want lots of swimming space, but usually a 75-gallon fish tank will do properly for one male turtle (females want about a 125-gallon tank).
