The blood of Jesus Christ represents the divine, holy life of God. Jesus is the lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8). His blood is preserved forever in heaven (Hebrews 9:12). The blood of Jesus came straight from heaven and represents the holy zoe life of God (Luke 1:35). The blood of Jesus is the eternal power of God. Jesus shed His blood so that man could be delivered from the power of sin (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus died on the cross so that man could be saved from death and receive eternal life (John 3:16). When God saw the sacrifice of animals, He saw the sacrifice and death of His Son on the cross (Hebrews 9:12-14). Through His blood and death, we can receive eternal life.
