Look no further than "In His Image" curriculum!We go off of the premise that kids learn best when they can do! Instead of practicing pages and pages of fractions, why not cut up pizzas to learn fractions? Why not go on a treasure hunt looking for ounces on food? Why not learn to make up stories and poems? When learning about cloud types, why not go outside and discover what kinds of clouds are in the sky, and then find a favorite cloud and make up a story about it? Why not play restaurant to learn about nutrition and money? Why not experiment, discover, and explore?These are just a few examples of what you'll find inside "In His Image" curriculum!Each day begins with a scripture, a song, a short religion lesson tying the scripture into the day's theme, and a literature suggestion. Then you will go on to practice science, language arts, art, and math. The only things not included are phonics and handwriting!Each unit is 2 weeks long. Subjects include: the five senses, community helpers, seasons, Thanksgiving, animals, Christmas, health and hygiene, communication, magnets, transportation, water, families, air, safety & manners, light and color, the flag, sound and music, presidents, plants, and Mormon pioneers. That's twenty units in all.Although some activities require preparation, detailed instructions are given for how to prepare them. No thought or research on your part!
